Heavens Care is a well-established and growing home care agency in Akron, Ohio, that provides a wide range of services to individuals with disabilities. We are currently looking for DSPs with experience in transportation, respite care, and congregated settings.

Job Description:

As a DSP, you will be responsible for providing a variety of services to our clients in their homes and in community settings. You will work closely with the clients, their families, and our team to develop and implement care plans that meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide transportation to clients for appointments, errands, and activities
• Provide respite care to clients' families and caregivers
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding, as needed
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Administer medication, as needed
• Coordinate with the client's healthcare providers to ensure their medical needs are met
• Participate in the development and implementation of care plans
• Document and report any changes in clients' health or behavior

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Prior experience in transportation, respite care, and congregated settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
